Sharp-Angle Close
When a buyer asks for a concession, trade it for the commitment instead of just handing it over.
Can you throw in onboarding?
The sharp-angle close turns a buyer’s request into a close. When they ask “Can you throw in onboarding?” or “Can you do it by the 1st?”, you answer with a conditional yes tied to the decision: “If I can get onboarding included, are you ready to sign today?” You have taken the thing they wanted and made it the reason to commit now.
Use it only when the request is genuine buying behaviour, not idle curiosity, and only when you can actually deliver what you promise. It works because a buyer who asks for something has revealed they are close, and trading removes their last easy exit. It backfires if you agree to the ask first and then try to close, because you have given away leverage for nothing, or if you promise something you cannot honour.
This is standard sales-floor technique with no single documented originator; treat it as folklore, not a cited method.
