Handling "Just Send Me Some Info"

Turn a brush-off into a qualifying question so you send something relevant, or find out there is no real interest.

Send me some info

“Send me some info” is often a polite way to end the call. A generic brochure lands in the trash and you have learned nothing. Instead, use it to qualify: agree to send something, but make it specific to them, which forces a real answer about their situation.

Say: “Happy to. So I don’t send you a forty-page PDF you’ll never read, what’s the one thing you’d want it to answer?” Their reply tells you whether there is genuine interest and what to actually send. Then set a concrete follow-up: “I’ll send that today. Can we grab ten minutes Thursday to see if it’s a fit?”

It works because it converts a vague dismissal into either a targeted next step or an honest no, both better than mailing paper into silence. The mistake is sending the generic deck and hoping. This is standard practice with no single documented originator.
